FROM THORNS TO ROSES

“It went on smooth roads;
Nor thorns or stones;
Yet it had none.”
Yes! It had none,
But it had been better
Without the one-way-lane.

This one-way-lane of love
Lead me nowhere
But dead end;
All my passion
Wasted for the deaf!

This one-way-lane of love
Had no flower blooming
But a bed of thorns,
Which didn’t pierce my foot,
But my bare heart!

This one-way-lane of love
Did not crown me
But like a brooding beggar.
When her cold words
Struck at me again,
I decided to fly away!

Sun rose where once
Dark clouds resided.
The clouds which showered tears once,
Now showers love for her!
The gardens which bloomed thorns once,
Now blooms aromatic roses.
Only golden sand did his foot reach
And not the drivel.
It went on smooth roads;
Nor thorns or stones;
But now it seems elated!
